My Story
"Since my early days as a Boatswain's Mate in the Navy, the dream of owning a coffee shop has been etched in my heart. It became a shared vision when I met my now-husband during a 2019 deployment. We both left the Navy, moved to Washington State, and were ready to turn our dreams into reality. Little did we know, the pandemic would flip our world upside down.
As my husband embarked on establishing his landscaping company, I found myself supporting his journey, all while my coffee shop dream seemed distant. It felt like a project for the distant future, something I'd pursue once my children were grown and I had more free time.
Then came a surprising turn of events. My husband asked how much we needed to kickstart my coffee shop dream. I jokingly mentioned $10,000, not thinking it was within reach. Yet, the following week, I checked my bank account, and there it was – $10,000. Unbeknownst to me, the VA had increased my disability rating.
With newfound hope, I purchased a horse trailer and essential materials. Throughout this entire process, our funding has been nothing short of a miracle from God. His guidance has been evident, speaking over our business and giving it a mission of ministry through coffee.
As a proud Boatswain's Mate veteran, my aim is to spread generosity and love through Sons of Neptune Espresso, sharing my testimony with every cup. This venture is a testament to the divine, a journey filled with unexpected blessings and the undeniable glory of God."
